I had the privilege to have been graced with becoming a RAW Artist out of Minneapolis because of an Etsy store I had on sustainable clothing or upcycling. I had begun to design clothing from my own closet and quickly began to find boutiques, specialty stores, and online business to sell my designs. The best part of this experience was the blind creativity that opened me up spiritually.
I found myself preparing for a RAW show and was asked to provide fashions for Sugar: Mad Girl Productions at Hennipen Theatre in Minneapolis. I created a radical line of skanty wears and themed it Sugar Skulls, with Dia de los Muertos painted faces and Frida Kholer accents for jewelry and hair pieces. This I prepared for while I was gathering the pieces for my RAW Showcase. Great way to get my feet wet before the big show. Raw Artist Promo Video Sugar: Mad Girl Productions fashion show.
I prepared to come out as a RAW Artist in Minneapolis, a title that carries a lifetime across the world. The show was “Alice in Wonderland” themed with larger than life flowers and “Animme” eyes on the models. I met lifelong friends, was supported by many, and was beginning to ingest the POWER of God!! He literally was moving mountains and I was caught off guard. I felt so blessed and worthy, enough for this world, and gathered baskets of joy from the positive response to this show.
Then I was asked to present a showcase with other designers at a dollared plate event to fundraise for a noteworthy organization that educates on being aware and preventing suicide. This was an excellent experience because I met others in the designing field.
All of these events led me down a road I thought I was traveling in order to become a designer and A Voice stepped in. I had taught school prior to my designing years and was to return to this. I began teaching for a number of years before returning to Arizona.
I look at all of the experiences leading towards asking my Savior back into my heart, all of this was Him all along. All the blessings that flowed during this experience were part of His plan. It demanded a flexibility that enabled the Master Potter to mold me towards my gifts that He had blessed me with to share in this life. Had I not traveled the road I walked, I would not be the woman that I am today.
